Located in apical plasma membrane; brush border; and cytoplasmic vesicle. Is active in external side of plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including cochlea; genitourinary system; gut; physiological umbilical hernia; and thymus epithelium. Orthologous to human ENPEP (glutamyl aminopeptidase).
